TRADE MISSION TO CHINA
Organised byChinaLink
in conjunction with Trade Partners UK
In association with
Shanghai International Industry Fair 2003
(6th - 11th, November)
3rd - 16th November 2003
Shanghai, Guangzhou & Kunming
|
| |
| |
| China market has weathered
through in recent years the Asia financial crisis and the SARS scare without
any sign of economic slow down. The sustained growth and the further market
opening up after its accession to the WTO has resulted in greater access
to its market for UK companies. This mission will visit the two most important
trade and economic centres of China, Shanghai and Guangzhou, and a less
exploited city of China, Kunming. |
| |
|
Shanghai and Guangzhou,
together with their respective Yangtze Valley and Pearl River Delta regions,
are the two biggest market segments of China. Both regions are among the
most highly productive, highly populated and highly developed in China
and are the hubs for manufacturing, trading, technology development and
service industries.
Kunming is the capital city
of Yunnan Province and a center for the Southwestern China, well
supported with major industrial, commercial and transport infrastructures
yet is a region with untapped potential. It has a population of
3.5 million and main industries include foodstuffs, trucks, machine
tools, electrical equipment, textiles, chemicals, building materials
and plastics.
|
 |
|
|
| The mission also coincides with the Shanghai
International Industry Fair (6th - 11th November), which is one
of the biggest if its kind in China. It is the most
cost effective way for exporters
to meet up potential partners, and importers
to select products from 1406 quality manufacturers gathered under one roof.
|
| |
| A travel subvention of 750
is available from Trade Partners UK for exporters and potential exporters.
