| With the growth rate of 20% each year in the past five years, China has
become a major player in the biotech industry. It is a world leader in antibiotics
production and is potentially the largest pharmaceutical market in Asia.
As the 'industry of the 21st Century', the Chinese Government is committed
to strengthen the competitiveness of the industry, with favourable policy
initiatives that include tax incentives and government subsidies designed
to promote the growth of biotech companies. |
