UK Sports & Leisure Infrastructure Mission to China
(21st - 28th Nov 2004)
In Association With
The 3rd Beijing International Green Building Materials Exhibition
2004
(24th - 27th November 2004, Beijing)
|
| |
| ChinaLink, in conjunction with UK Trade & Investment, will organise Exhibitors,
Trade Seminars and Trade Visitors from the UK to participate in the exhibition
(formally called Green Olympics). |
| |
| Established jointly by China Building Materials Industries Association
and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade the exhibition
has been held for the last 2 years, attracting over 30,000 visitors with
around 400 exhibitors. |
| |
| With the run up to the Beijing Olympics 2008, many major construction
projects have been started and more planned. There will be no better time
for relevant companies connected with the building industry to visit the
city and to explore the China market. |
| |
| (1) Profile of Prospective Exhibitors: |
| |
- Technologies, machineries & equipments for building materials
- Electrical systems - interior and exterior equipment, automatic door
control systems
- Stadium fittings
- Sanitary wares, fittings & hardware
- Glass & processed glass
- Cement & cement products
- Doors, windows & hardware
- Building decoration materials & flooring
|
| We have negotiated a significant discount for exhibition space for the
UK companies who are members of the ChinaLink UK delegation. |
| |
| (2) UK - China Trade Seminar on Sports
& Leisure and Building Industrial Seminar |
| A selective number of UK company representatives will be offered
the opportunity to make a presentation to a pre-selected group of Chinese
companies in relevant sectors on their own products and services if these
deem to represent a sub-sector area of the UK industries. For accepted UK
representatives (speakers), ChinaLink has obtained SESA grant from UK Trade
& Investment to partly finance the cost of the seminar and subsidise travel
expenses. |
| |
| The desire to stage Beijing Olympics 2008 as the most successful
in the Olympics history leads to the demand of China on the best products,
services and expertise available. The demand on sports venues is becoming
ever more complex and technically challenging, from the desire to facilitate
a wide spectrum of activities to meet the demands of the media, the need
to accommodate spectators in appropriate and comfortable surroundings, to
the more specialised requirements of the participants. British expertise
is being harnessed all around the world to plan, develop, build and manage
sports venues and events. High levels of expertise are available from British
consultants at every stage, from feasibility studies to construction and
fitting out, the subsequent management and successful delivery of events,
to exploring the long-term utilisation potential of venues. |
| |
| British Companies have pioneered the transformation of sports
& leisure architecture into its modern form, and have demonstrated the ability
to create state-of-the art facilities which become symbols of success for
the host country. |
|
| (3) Trade Visitors |
| |
| Following a recent UK Trade & Investment sponsored research
mission into the China sports and leisure industrial sectors, we are hoping
also to organise a sport and leisure trade mission group as a part of this
delegation. We are seeking travel grants for would-be exporters. |
| |
| ChinaLink, with its head office in Liverpool and China offices
in Shanghai & Beijing, supported by an extensive network of Chinese Chamber
partners in China, has already organised a number of delegations in association
with Beijing Olympics and the Chinese sport and leisure industries in the
last couple of years. Details are available on request. |
