| ChinaLink has had a busy and rewarding year in 2001.
We have successfully completed 6 Trade Partners UK contracts in China
including missions, trade seminars, exhibition and showcase. It has
gone through the TPUK accreditation process and has been benchmarked
against the Good Practice Framework for International Trade Schemes.
Leading the NW region we operate NWDA China website as a centre of
service provision. We are now the recognised quality service supplier
within British Chambers of Commerce, UNIDO, NWDA and others. Our network
of Chamber Partners in China has extended (18 members). At the back
of two successful years in organising British delegation at the China
Hi-Tech Fair ChinaLink has forged a long-term partnership with China
Hi-Tech Transfer Centre on international technology transfer. |
| While the commercial services have satisfied many clients,
highlight of the year is the success of the consultancy and facilitation
service in facilitating the international tendering and contract negotiation
of a £‘3m contract from China for Telescope Technologies Ltd. We have
developed an excellent model through this project on how our own services
interface of those of DTI, TPUK, InvestUK, UNIDO, NWDA and other governmental
services.Our clients are now coming from all over the country. Locally
we have completed the Merseyside China Link project and are involved
the next phrase of European projects |

| Appointed market consultant and successful facilitated

In partnership with the North West Development Agency and
Trade Partner UK developed a North West regional
website for China: www.nwda-china.org.uk. Continued to
operate a bilingual internet service for over 40 companies through
www.chinalink.org.uk, which received hundreds of, enquires and have
resulted in orders for clients.
