Current Vacancies (June 2008)Executive Assistant to Director of ChinaLink_____________________________________Executive Assistant to Director of ChinaLink (from GBP18,500)(Fixed term contract)(Reference: 0806 PA)Due to maternity leave an opportunity has arisen for a fixed term appointment (6 months). The person appointed will assist the Director & Managing Consultant of ChinaLink in developing and co-ordinating a range of international consultancy and promotion projects. The appointee will be involved in liaison with clients and partners of ChinaLink. She or he will also provide some administrative support, assisting day to day running of the office, organising events, and record/file keeping and handling client inquiries. The appointee will have plenty opportunity to be involved in international trade and investment services and career will progress in areas of international projects, consultancy, international marketing, and overseas operations. Applicants are expected to possess excellent organisational, communicational and other office skills, have working experience as PA/EA to senior business management in an UK commercial environment, and are expected to have a keen interest in working with Chinese companies and Chinese market. Ability to work under pressure is essential and experience of handling clients useful. Skills to operate office computer software packages (Words, Excel, Access, Outlook, etc.) are important and further ability in webpage editing, image processing, desktop publishing a bonus. Native written and spoken English essential. Working experience
in the UK important. Hardworking, teamwork and high standards are the usual work ethics appreciated in ChinaLink. The post is fixed term and full time. Further employment a posibility subject to contracts. The person appointed will be an employee of the Liverpool Chamber of Commerce & Industry and is subject to its employment terms and conditions. Salary subject to experience.
