Local Government International Bureau Discussed the twinnings between UK & Chinese cities |
| During the visit of a delegation of the Chinese Association of Friendship
with Foreign Countries, the LGIB held a seminar on 6th September to
discuss the experience of twinning (or sister cities) between UK cities
& Chinese cities. Liverpool’s link with Shanghai has been a topic
of discussion and the case was presented to the meeting by Cllr. Beatrice
Frenkel of the Liverpool city council, Dr. Kegang Wu of the ChinaLink
and Ms. Judith Gorden of the Liverpool City Council. |
| Consul- general Wang Yaoxiang hosted a reception in the same evening
for all the guests attended the meeting. |
