TRADE MISSION TO CHINA

Chemical & electronics and other sectors
 
The three cities to be visited by this ChinaLink trade mission are all important economic centres in China, both for companies in chemical and electronics and for companies from other sectors. All three are major industry cities with vast market and are also centres for logistics.
 
  Shanghai:
  · The booming economic centre of China.
· Chemical Industry Zone will be a world class chemical, petroleum and natural gas processing hub.
· The electronic information industry growth at a recent annual 23% in the past three years.
 
  Hangzhou:
  · Capital city of Zhejiang Province, one of the strongest provincial economy in eastern China.
· A major industrial centre with strength in wireless communication equipment, chemical products and
 electronic equipment.
· Major investment on infrastructure is taking place in the Hi-Tech Development and Investment Zone.
  Dalian:
  · The most modern and opened city of northern China with well-established chemical industry in the city   and its surrounding areas.
·A major industrial centre with strength in wireless communication equipment, chemical products and
   electronic equipment.
· The major market for chemical, electronic products and other consumer products.
 
Events Associated:
We have timed the mission with a number of key exhibitions:
  · Shanghai International Electronics Product Equipment and Microelectrnics Industry Exhibition (Nepcon   2002),
· China Dalian Import & Export Commodities Fair
  electronic equipment.
· Dalian International Machinery & Electronic Metals Minerals and Chemicals Fair.
In addition, ChinaLink is in the process of discussing with Dongying City (Shengli Oil Field) and Pankou City for their petroleum and chemical companies to meet the mission members in Dalian. Separate small but focused events may be organised between the mission members and the two cities in Dalian.

We are in the process of obtaining and comparing various quotations from travel agents. Details to be advised.
 
Chemical and electronics are strong UK export sectors to China. 2002 will see important changes in the Chinese market and industry following China's WTO accession last December. With the timing, locations, events and support available this mission will be a valuable experience either you are an experienced exporter or a new prospective one.
