UK - China Private Sectors Seminar will be an innovative event to promote British products and services specifically to the Chinese private sectors that have developed rapidly in the last 2 decades as a result of the economic reform. The private sectors have now become a significant part of China's economic structure. In some provinces the industries output from the private sectors are catching up with the state own sectors. The private sectors in China has performed strongly because they are more profit driven, more efficient and more market orientated.

Following the recent WTO agreements between China and EU, with the gradual relaxation of trade licence system and the more market economic approach, it is time for you to promote your products and services to the Chinese private sectors whose purchasing power is increasing.

Guangdong and Zhejiang Provinces of which Guangzhou and Hanzhou are capital cities respectively are the leading regions in the development of private sectors. In Zhejiang the private sectors industrial output accounts for 49% of the total in year 2000. It is not a coincident that Guangdong and Zhejiang are the two richest and well-developed provinces in China.

Working with ChinaLink as long-term partners, the Guangdong and Zhejiang Federations of Commerce & Industry and Shanghai International Chamber of Commerce will be our partners in co-organising the events. The events will also be supported by the British Consulates General in Shanghai and Hangzhou.

ChinaLink 's pre-mission and post-mission services will ensure your preparation and follow-up after the events. Details are in our Service Pack.
