The College
Harrogate Tutorial College is a small, fully-accredited and friendly
college situated in the elegant spa town of Harrogate in a beautiful part
of the North of England. The college is located in safe and attractive
surroundings close to extensive parkland, about 5-minute walk from the
town centre.
The college offers English Language and other courses to overseas students.
We also have British students studying for the UK national examinations.
The classes are small to ensure that students would receive a lot of
individual attention and make rapid progress. The college use communicative
teaching techniques, modern course books which are loaned to students,
audio and video equipment. All the language skills are developed in an
active learning environment. A college certificate is given to students
at the end of their course.
All the teachers are well-qualified, experienced and sympathetic to students'
needs. They develop a good rapport with their classes.
The college has excellent host families close to the college. The students
would be accepted as a member of the family and have many opportunities
for more practice in English. The cost includes single room with half-board
weekdays and full-board at weekends. Summer School students are given
packed lunches on weekdays.
The college's Welfare Officer keeps in close contact with the students
and host families. She is available to discuss and help with any problems
