The 2000 Zhejiang Investment & Trade event is an international economic and trade event to be staged in Zhejiang, one of China's most dynamic local economies.

Overseas investors and business people are invited to take part in various activities at the fairs, which include exhibition on Zhejiang's investment situation, trade fairs, seminars on investment and trade and presentations on proposed projects,

Last year's event attracted 3212 participants from 66 countries around the world. The event was also extensively covered by 250 journalists from Chinese and world news organisations.

More than 2000 investment projects within Zhejiang were proposed last year. Invesment agreements were signed on 360 of the proposed projects during the event alone, totalling £Ú

Main Activities

Investment Fair
Attended by representatives from the authorities of 11 cities and prefectures in the province, enterprises and investors from abroad. There will be exhibitions on the investment climate and presentation of proposed projects. There will also be opportunities for formal negotiations on the projects concerned

Zhejiang Export Commodities Fair
Over 100 import/export companies in the province are invited. Brilliant chance to explore trading opportunities wheather you are selling or buying.

Exhibition of Products from Foreign Funded Enterprises
Sponsored by the China National Information Promotion Office and the Zhejian Provincial Government, the exhibition will show IT equipments/parts from over 100 firms.

Seminars
"Forum on Zhejiang's New Strategy of Utilizing Foreign Investment in the 21th Century" -- Guest speakers include leaders from the state departments, foreign embassies and representatives from transnational corporations.
"Electronic Business Forum" -- Guest speakers include leaders from state departments, representatives from transnational corporations and IT professionals.
